Biography

Manuel is a dedicated advocate for marginalized communities, injured individuals, and economically disadvantaged families across Texas. A humble Austinite and proud Longhorn, he is deeply committed to fostering justice, equity, and prosperity within the state’s multiethnic and multicultural communities. With a background in the performing arts, Manuel pursued Fine Arts at the University of Texas, where he distinguished himself as a top-ranking thespian, folkloric dancer, and spiritual scholar.

His early passion for social and spiritual change led him to engage in policy advocacy, working with the Texas Criminal Justice Coalition and collaborating with local leaders to challenge injustices at the heart of Texas. Manuel and his peers transformed a high school Speak-Up Speak-Out group into the University Leadership Initiative—an organization dedicated to championing intellectual merit and equal opportunity, regardless of one’s origins, at the University of Texas. Through strategic collaboration with local entrepreneurs, thousands marched alongside him, UT students, and government officials. Their collective efforts influenced significant legislative advancements in both the Texas Senate and House of Representatives and reached the White House, securing protections for Texas’ increasingly diverse population.

His advocacy helped set the stage for federal courts to challenge, sustain, and ultimately expand his local influence into national policy changes. He hopes the sitting president hears his message and works toward uniting people across America. Manuel’s commitment to progress extends beyond legislative and national achievements. He continues to be a champion for peaceful solutions in every aspect of his life, particularly in local business development. He focuses on uplifting younger generations through poetic performances that inspire those who hear him.

His collaborations with emerging leaders have contributed to economic and social policy changes that empower new generations of CEOs, many of whom consider him their mentor and closest advisor.
